A Year in San Francisco

Touched and moved by Andrew Clancy’s A Year in New York, I set out to assemble my own video tribute to San Francisco. ‘We Don’t Eat’ by Irishman James Vincent McMorrow is a beautiful and awe-inspiring song. Using video I shot throughout the year, these images reflect the San Francisco I live and breathe every day.  We may not have won the World Series in 2011, but every year is a celebration in a city filled with endless smiles and so much warmth of spirit.  And San Francisco’s monument to its strength and perseverance looks amazing from every angle.

  1. Let me guess…you’re a rabid Giants fan. I liked how you came back to the little girl with the pink and red sweater during the beach scene (where everyone was holding hands in a line). In a happy way, reminds me of the little girl in the red coat scampering in the Warsaw ghetto after it’s been evacuated in “Schindler’s List.”

    Very touching Postcard, Diane!
